FinishProof

Terms of Service

Effective September 18, 2026

These Terms govern your use of FinishProof (the "Service"), a web application for visualizing coating finishes and managing customer approvals. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FinishProof provides digital visualization tools, quote documents, customer approval pages, and optional payment collection. Visualizations are approximations only. On-screen and printed colors, patterns, and finishes will differ from applied coatings due to surface preparation, film thickness, lighting, display calibration, and application technique. The Service is a sales and communication tool — it is not a guarantee of any final result, and you are solely responsible for confirming colors and finishes with your customers (for example, with physical spray-out panels) before performing work.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for other users.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Manage Billing; access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; founding-rate commitments we make in writing are honored for as long as the subscription remains continuously active.

4. Deposits between you and your customers

Deposit collection uses Stripe Connect. Payments flow directly between your customer and your connected Stripe account; FinishProof charges a platform fee disclosed at the time of setup. We are not a party to the transaction between you and your customer. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, and the delivery of your services are entirely between you, your customer, and Stripe under their applicable terms.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to photos, designs, logos, and other content you create or upload. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service (for example, storing proposal images so your customer can view them). You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload, including customer photos and third-party logos or artwork.

6. Acceptable use

No unlawful use, no attempting to breach or overload the Service, no reselling the Service without our written agreement, and no uploading content that is illegal or infringes others' rights.

7. Trademarks

Cerakote® is a registered trademark of NIC Industries, Inc. FinishProof is an independent product, is not affiliated with or endorsed by NIC Industries, and references coating brands and color codes solely to describe compatibility. Color renderings are our own approximations.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost jobs, or the cost of re-coating work.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination we may delete your data after a reasonable period; export your projects before closing your account.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms: use the in-app support chat or the contact information on our website. Governing law and venue: the state and courts of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
